Frequently Asked Questions:

Find answers to common questions about our trust delivery agent services.

Q: What do I need to bring to my notary appointment?

A: You must bring a valid, government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver's license, passport) that contains your signature. All signers must be present, and the document must be complete (except for the signature) before the notarization.

Q: What is a Trust Delivery Agent?

A: A Certified Notary Trust Delivery Agent (CNTDA) is a professional specializing in the secure and compliant handling of estate planning and trust documents. We ensure these sensitive documents are correctly notarized and delivered to the appropriate parties, such as attorneys or designated beneficiaries.

Q: What is the difference between a notary and a Trust Delivery Agent?

A: All Trust Delivery Agents are notaries, but not all notaries are Trust Delivery Agents.

Trust Delivery Agents have specialized training in handling trust documents, while general notaries perform a wider range of notarization services.

Q: Why are Trust Delivery Agents needed?

A: Trust documents are complex. Trust Delivery Agents provide a valuable service by ensuring these documents are handled with accuracy and professionalism, reducing the risk of errors that could have legal consequences.

Q: Why should I use a Trust Delivery Agent instead of delivering the documents myself?

A: Using a Certified Notary Trust Delivery Agent (CNTDA) ensures legal compliance, proper notarization, and secure handling of your sensitive documents. We provide an impartial, professional service that minimizes risk and ensures your documents reach the correct parties without delay or error.

Q: Can you notarize a document if I'm not physically present?

A: All signers must be physically present before us for notarization, unless Remote Online Notarization (RON) is an option and offered. We must verify your identity at the time of notarization.

Q: What if I don't understand the document, I need notarized?

A: It is your responsibility to understand the contents of the document. We can notarize your signature, but we cannot explain or interpret the document's meaning. If you have questions about the document, please consult with an attorney or the document's preparer.

Q: How do you ensure the security and confidentiality of my trust documents?

A: We understand the sensitive nature of trust documents. We maintain strict confidentiality protocols, ensure secure transport and delivery, and adhere to all legal requirements for handling private information.

Q: Do you provide legal advice or prepare legal documents?

A: As a Notary Public, we are not attorneys and cannot provide legal advice or prepare legal documents. Our role is limited to verifying identities and witnessing signatures. Trust delivery agents do not prepare the legal documents. They facilitate the signing of documents that have been prepared by the legal counsel. For legal advice, please consult with a qualified attorney.

Q: Is a Trust Delivery Agent a lawyer?

A: No. Trust Delivery Agents are not lawyers. We are not authorized to provide legal advice. Our role is to ensure the proper execution of the documents, not to interpret or explain legal implications.

Q: Can I reschedule my appointment?
