A: For notarization in Florida, you must present a valid, government-issued photo ID. Acceptable forms of identification, which must be current or issued within the past five years and contain a serial or identifying number, include:

Additionally:

All signers must be present and coherent. The document must be complete (except for the signature) before notarization.

At Remarkable FL Notary, LLC, we reserve the right to refuse notarization if the ID is deemed unsatisfactory

Q: Do I need to schedule an appointment? Do you offer Same Day Appointments?

Q: Can a notary public provide legal advice or draft documents?

No, notaries are not authorized to provide legal advice, draft legal documents, or perform tasks that go beyond their notarial duties. Their role is to verify the identity of the signer, witness the signing of documents, and administer oaths. Providing advice may land the notary in legal trouble up to and including incarceration.
