What is Remote Online Notarization (RON)?
Remote Online Notarization utilizes advanced audio-visual technology to connect you with a commissioned Florida notary public in real-time. The process is fully secure, legally binding, and adheres to all Florida state regulations. It involves:
Identity Verification: Robust identity proofing and credential analysis to ensure the signer is who they claim to be.
Audio-Visual Connection: A live, two-way audio-visual feed between you and the notary.
Electronic Signature: Secure electronic signatures applied to your documents.
Digital Notary Seal & Certificate: The notary affixes their digital seal and an electronic notary certificate.
Tamper-Evident Documents: The notarized document is tamper-evident, ensuring its integrity.
Benefits of Choosing RON with Remarkable FL Notary:
Ultimate Convenience: Get your documents notarized from anywhere, at any time that suits your schedule.
Accessibility: Ideal for individuals with busy schedules, limited mobility, or those in different geographical locations.
Efficiency: Streamlined process often quicker than traditional in-person notarizations.
Enhanced Security: Advanced security protocols and identity verification steps protect your sensitive information.
Legal Compliance: Our RON services (once launched) will fully comply with Florida Statute 117.201, ensuring the legality and validity of your notarized documents.
Continuing Our In-Person Mobile Notary Services
While we are embracing the convenience of RON, Remarkable FL Notary remains dedicated to serving our community with professional in-person mobile notary services. We understand that some documents or situations still require a traditional, face-to-face notarization. Our mobile notaries will continue to travel to your home, office, hospital, or other convenient locations within Orlando and Tampa and surrounding areas, providing the same reliable and meticulous service you've come to expect. Whether you prefer the cutting-edge convenience of RON or the trusted familiarity of an in-person visit, Remarkable FL Notary is here for all your notarization needs.
Get Ready for Seamless Notarization!

Find answers to common questions about our remote online notary services.
A: Yes! Remote Online Notarization has been legal in Florida since January 1, 2020, under Florida Statute 117.201. Documents notarized via RON by a Florida-commissioned online notary public hold the same legal weight and validity as those notarized in person.
A: Per Florida Statute 117.275, an online notary public or their employer may charge a fee not to exceed $25 for performing an online notarial act. Additional fees may apply for other services or third-party platform usage, which will be disclosed upfront.
A: Most sessions take about 15–20 minutes, including identity verification and signing.
A: You will need a reliable internet connection, a computer or mobile device with a webcam and microphone, and a valid government-issued photo identification. You'll also need access to your documents in an electronic format.
A: Identity verification for RON is a multi-layered process that typically involves:
Credential Analysis: A sophisticated system analyzes your government-issued ID to ensure its authenticity.
Knowledge-Based Authentication (KBA): You will answer a series of personal questions generated from public and proprietary data sources, designed to confirm your identity.
A: Yes, a Florida-commissioned online notary public physically located in Florida can perform an online notarization for a principal (signer) who is physically located anywhere in the world, as long as Florida law governs the notarial act. You will be asked to confirm verbally or in writing that you desire for the notarial act to be performed by a Florida notary public and under Florida law.
A: Generally, acceptable forms of identification include a valid state-issued driver's license, state-issued identification card, U.S. passport, or foreign passport stamped by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. The ID must contain a photograph and signature.
A: Some documents, such as certain estate planning documents, may require in-person witnessing or be state-specific. Contact us to verify if your form qualifies.
A: Absolutely. RON platforms utilize advanced encryption and security measures to protect your information and documents. The notary public is also required to maintain a secure electronic journal and an unedited audio-video recording of the entire notarization session for a specified period (typically 10 years in Florida) for security and compliance.
A: Yes, witnesses can participate remotely via the audio-visual technology, or they may be physically present with the signer or the notary, depending on the document requirements and Florida law. For electronic wills, if witnesses are required, they must be in the physical presence of the principal.
A: Our goal is a smooth experience. If you encounter technical difficulties, our support team or the notary will assist you in resolving them. We will work to ensure a stable connection before proceeding with the notarization.
A: Once the notarization is complete, your electronically notarized document, complete with the notary's digital seal and signature, will typically be provided to you electronically (e.g., via secure email or download from the platform). This document is tamper-evident, meaning any changes after notarization will be detectable.
A: Yes, in most cases, you can reschedule your RON appointment. We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise.
Please contact us as soon as possible via email at [email protected] to request a reschedule. We will do our best to accommodate your request, subject to notary availability. Please note that rescheduling may be subject to certain time constraints and our general cancellation policy.
